Firearms purchased by customers outside Michigan are shipped to a valid Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in the buyer's state of residence for the required transfer. The receiving FFL completes the ATF Form 4473 and required background check before the buyer may take possession. Firearms are not shipped directly to nonlicensees. The buyer is responsible for confirming that the firearm is legal to receive in their state and local jurisdiction and for any transfer fee charged by the receiving FFL.
